Multistreaming 101: How to Go Live Everywhere at Once (From One Phone)

If you're still going live on one platform at a time, you're leaving the majority of your audience on the table. What is multistreaming, exactly?

Multistreaming (also called simulcasting) is the practice of pushing a single live video feed to multiple platforms at the same time. Your phone — or your encoder — uploads one copy of the stream to a service like King Push, which then re-distributes it to every connected destination with platform-correct settings: vertical for Instagram, adaptive bitrate for flaky mobile networks, and per-platform chat ingestion.

The math is brutal and beautiful: 4 destinations doesn't just 4x your reach — it compounds. Chat gets livelier, clips travel further, and the algorithm on each platform pushes you harder.

What you need before your first simulcast

• A stable connection. 5 Mbps upload is comfortable for 1080p60 to four platforms. 4G/LTE works; 5G or Wi-Fi 6 is better.
• Linked accounts. Connect YouTube and Instagram once — OAuth takes about 60 seconds per platform in King Push.
• An RTMP URL for anywhere else. Twitch, Facebook, or a custom server: paste the URL and stream key and you're done.
